Vladimir Kolesnikov

Artistic Director, Youth America Ballet

Mr. Kolesnikov was a leading Character dancer with the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has also been featured in cinema roles for the Kirov and received the special "Russian Government Award for Outstanding Performance" and the "Mariinsky Theater Award." After an outstanding career as a performer, Mr. Kolesnikov chose to preserve a classical training legacy and became an instructor for the Vaganova Academy, Kirov Ballet Company, and the Boston Ballet. He assisted ABT's (American Ballet Theatre) Artistic Director in coaching Principal Dancers in "Raymonda."
