Nina Kolesnikov

Artistic Director, Youth America Ballet

Ms. Kolesnikov has performed Leading Ballet roles with the Kirov Ballet Company in St. Petersberg, Russia and also performed in Cinema. As Ballet Mistress, she taught Classical Ballet and Character Dance at the Boston Ballet and Bolshoi Theatre. Miss Kolesnikov has taught the Vaganova Method in Washington, DC, the Netherlands and most recently, Los Angeles. She has two degrees in dance from the Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy: Bachelors and Masters of Fine Arts. Last summer, she teamed up with the world renowned ballerina, Irina Kolpakova, to teach for Classical Dance Alliance at the Baryshnikov Arts Center Studios in New York City. Miss Kolesnikov comes with a heritage of renowned dancers dating back several generations.
