David Blair

Academy of Musical Theatre Arts Director

David Blair has been directing throughout Orange County and has been involved in theatre education for the past five years. Mr. Blair is the Artistic Director of the Academy of Musical Theatre Arts (AMTA) at Pacific Coast Academy of Dance in San Clemente and The Gallery of Performing Arts in Tustin. He is also Director of Murder Mystery Players, the number 1 murder mystery company in the US. David is a professional opera singer and has performed in numerous productions including Carmen, Aida and The Magic Flute. Some of his favorite directing credits include Stephan Sondheim's highly acclaimed Assassins, The Full Monty and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change! Mr. Blair is currently directing a production of Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Tenor   at the Costa Mesa Playhouse. This October, David will be singing in this year's Broadway Wishes fundraiser concert where he will be performing with Broadway's very own Megan Hilty, singing Suddenly Seymour from LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!
